JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is in need of a Director of Information Technology for a permanent placement.
This opportunity is located in Harrisburg, PA

This is a permanent placement.

JOB SUMMARY
The Director of IT will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the company's software, servers and related hardware, as well as providing strategic IT planning and support to the company, and leadership and direction to the IT team. The IT Director will identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the corporate information systems and make recommendations for implementation and leads project management initiatives.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
. Directs the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various information systems to include servers, network equipment, and software applications.
. Provides overall leadership for IT department in development and optimization of technical information system platforms.
. Ensures proper installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and resolves software related problems.
. Oversees system backup, recovery programs, and database management.
. Analyzes, selects, modifies and makes recommendations for new equipment and services.
. Provides recommendation to senior management on IT matters including policy deployment, budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills/experience
. Bachelor's degree is required, Master's Degree is preferred
. 10+ years of systems management experience is required, preferably in a corporate environment with management responsibility for more then one information system across different functional areas.
. Project Management experience in a highly technical manufacturing work environment
. 5+ years of company-wide IT department management experience is required.
. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and ERP implementation experience is highly preferred
. Experience evaluating systems, equipment and staff in a rapidly growing company are preferred.
